Atlantic Rainforest Brazil:

The Tanagers Paradise

Jun 8th-Jun 17th, 2026 (SOLD OUT)

Jun 1st - Jun 10th, 2027

Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey into the lush embrace of the Atlantic Rainforest, where ancient biodiversity thrives in a mosaic of mist-shrouded mountains and coastal wonders! Spanning Brazil’s southeastern states like Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Espírito Santo, this UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve is a birder’s ultimate haven, home to over 1,000 bird species across its dramatic 1.3 million hectares of verdant montane forests, coastal lowlands, and shimmering wetlands. Our itinerary visits pristine rainforests where endemic tanagers and hummingbirds fly free!  We'll see toucans, eagles, parrots, woodcreepers and so much more! Brazil reigns as a global powerhouse in bird diversity, with more than 1,800 species—including 230 endemics—and the Atlantic Rainforest alone harbors nearly 60% of them, many found nowhere else on Earth. Here, you’ll immerse yourself in diverse habitats such as dense ombrophilous forests, restinga scrublands, and high-altitude campos, each pulsing with exclusive species like the dazzling Green-headed Tanager or the elusive frilled-coquette hummingbird. Marvel at the Bare-throated Bellbird and endangered São Paulo Antwren. Come join us for a small group adventure you'll be telling your friends and family about for generations!
